Launch of Seesaw digital portfolio

Digital technologies acceptable use agreement

As part of our wellbeing program the school would like all parents to read and sign with your child the appropriate note.

Year 1 Bug Club note - information for parents

Year 1 students have experienced Bug Club which is an online reading program at school. It is now available to use at home and the school encourages parents to use this program as part of the weekly homework program.

Term 1 Fees

The Term 1 fees are now due. The attachment contains an explanation of the fees, fees schedule and a list of fees for each year - Kindergarten to Year 6.

Years 3 and 4 Seesaw

Seesaw is a program that will be used for the student's digital portfolio work samples. This replaces the hard copy portfolio that is sent home at the end of the year. We are using this platform as a way for students to display their classwork. The Seesaw Digital Portfolio gives us this opportunity by enabling you to view examples of your child’s work throughout the year.

Years 1-6 Digital Technologies Acceptable Use Agreement

All students in Years 1-6 have been given a copy of the Digital Technologies Acceptable Use Agreement.

Students should read and sign the Agreement in the company of a parent or caregiver. By signing the agreement the students agrees to all the conditions/ behaviours listed.

Tell Them From Me-Parent Survey

The Partners in Learning Parent Survey is part of the Tell Them From Me suite of surveys on student engagement. The parent survey helps to clarify and strengthen the important relationship between parent and school.

Year 6 Interrelate

Year 6 will take part in a 3 week program presented by Interrelate. This course is to prepare Year 6 for High School. "Moving into the Teen Years" explores a range of adolescent issues.

Intention to Apply - Selective High School 2022

Year 5 students have been given the attached note regarding Intention to Apply for Selective High School placement in 2022. The Selective High School placement test will be held on Thursday 11 March 2021.

Mango Fundraiser

Following on from a successful introduction last year, the P&C is bringing back its healthy fundraiser selling delicious trays of Australian Kensington Pride Mangoes.

The P&C has set up a new payment platform for Uniforms and the Mango Fundraiser. Qkr (pronounced Quicker).

P & C Meeting 26 October

P & C Meeting - Monday 26 October, 7:30pm

The next meeting of the HNPS P & C will be held this forthcoming Monday, 26 October from 7:30pm via zoom. Links for the meeting can be found below. 

We'll be joined at this meeting for the first hour of our meeting by senior representatives from Hornsby Shire Council, who will discuss issues and take questions on traffic management around the school. If you have questions or concerns about traffic management, please pass on your questions over the weekend to this address:
