Design our Christmas cards and win prizes.

Our annual Christmas card competition is back for 2022 with the theme ‘All I want for Christmas’.

Primary school students are invited to design a Christmas card for Minister for Education and Early Learning, Sarah Mitchell, and senior department executives.

Who can enter?

All primary school students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

Entry requirements 

For students:

  • Artworks can be created in any medium, portrait or landscape.

  • Artwork size should be no larger than 21cm x 30cm (A4).

  • This year’s theme is ‘All I want for Christmas’.

For schools:

  • Email entries on behalf of students to mcc@det.nsw.edu.au

  • Name artwork files in the format of schoolname-firstname-lastname.png

Entries close 5pm on 17 October 2022

Prizes

Winner:

  • The winning artwork will be featured on the  Minister’s 2022 Christmas card.

  • A book pack.

  • Twenty copies of the card.

Runners up:

  • Artworks will feature on Christmas cards for the Department of Education Secretary, Georgina Harrisson, and Deputy Secretaries – School Performance, Murat Dizdar and Leanne Nixon.

The winning artists will be notified by 29 October 2022.
