New co-educational high schools from 2026

Following the announcement on 12 November 2024, Asquith Boys and Asquith Girls high schools will transition to 2 standalone co-educational high schools from Term 1 2026.

Extensive community consultation in the surrounding school communities found co-education was preferred by the majority of those surveyed with support particularly strong from local primary school parents and students.

An increase in the student population at the schools will expand the range of courses and extra-curricular activities for students, enhancing their post-school pathways and career options.
